What happens when you combine a beautiful townhome and a formatted memory card? You get a very stressful photoshoot.
I was asked to photograph an amazing townhome located at 1 Lands End Drive in Greensboro, North Carolina and the property certainly didn’t disappoint. The listing agent, Kristen Haynes of Taylor, Redhead & McAlister, asked for interior and exterior ground images as well as aerial images to showcase its proximity to Buffalo Lake. As soon as I walked into the home I know I was going to get some fantastic images for the agent as well as for myself. I started to work my way around the outside of the home getting photos of the front exterior as well as the images from the back patio. From there, I moved into the home and started taking images of the fantastic kitchen. After getting about 15 images total I had to change some settings in my cameras menu and totally through muscle memory, I formatted my SD Card totally erasing all of the images. Not only did I erase the images from this home but also two other homes from earlier in the day.
Obviously I was not in a good mood after that but I knew that with the right software I could get the images back. I switched out the memory card for a new one and started the process of reshooting the home. In a way it wasn’t a bad thing because I was able to spend more time thinking about the shots.
After I go back to the office, I immediately purchased some recovery software to bring back the files that were deleted and to my surprise, I was able to get all of the images back without issue!
Check out a few of the shots from this amazing home!
