Have you ever heard the saying “the one that got away”? This home located at 3595 Kernersville Road in Winston-Salem, North Carolina is the perfect example of a home that I just didn’t have enough time for. I photographed this listing for Stacy Guske of REMAX Realty and for this being the first home I shot for her, it was a great experience.

I pulled up to the home a few minutes late because of another listing appointment that ran a bit longer that I anticipated and just seeing the outside of this home, I thought it would be a breeze to get in and out since I still needed to make it to my next appointment. As soon as I walked into this cozy farmhouse I was kicking myself for not allowing more time. The home was staged and perfectly decorated! Sure I was going to be able to get the photos necessary for the MLS listing, but I knew I was going to want to grab more detail shots than usual.

The color palette of the home was perfect for creating that cozy feel and the kitchen was one out of Home & Garden magazine. The master, which is located on the bottom level, was pretty large for a home built in 1921 and the 4 other bedrooms upstairs were also fairly large. The hallway bathroom was another lesson in great design and I especially loved the floating mirrors in front of the window.
